Take Our Kids to Work Day
 

CMH welcomed future young professionals in this year's Take Our Kids to Work day. These grade nine students spent the first part of their morning at "orientation" learning the many different aspects of hospital culture, safety practices and policies, before visiting the Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Food Services, and Operating Rooms. They also met with staff in corporate roles like IT, HR, Health & Safety, and Infection Control. Their visit wrapped up with Ember, our Facility Service Dog! After the tour, students joined their parents to shadow their role in our hospital for the remainder of the day.

Engaging young people about career exploration is an amazing opportunity. It helps them find that pocket of interest and passion that will lead them to their future professional lives! We are thrilled to host this important event and share the diverse clinical and non-clinical careers to the youth in our community.
