The Staff Innovation Fund supports staff generated quality improvement ideas. One of the three projects approved in 2023 focused on enhancing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within the Emergency Department. After analyzing CPR data, a small group of staff and physicians identified opportunities to make the CPR process better that could lead to more lives being saved when someone’s heart stops beating.
