Ontario Breast Screening Program
CMH is proud to be designated as an OBSP Breast Screening Site,
one of three in the regions of Waterloo Wellington. With this
designation, CMH provides timely, high-quality diagnosis and
follow-up for people with abnormal screens.
Ontario Breast Screening Program provides top-quality mammography services as well as follow up appointment reminders. The OBSP recommends that most eligible women, Two-Spirit, trans and non-binary people ages 50 to 74 get screened with mammography every two years. People ages 40 to 74 are eligible for screening through the OBSP if they:
- have no new breast cancer symptoms
- have no personal history of breast cancer
- have not had a mastectomy
- have not had a screening mammogram within the last 11 months
- If transfeminine, have used feminizing hormones for at least five years in a row
OBSP screening mammography is performed on:
- Mondays from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Mammography is used to diagnose diseases of the breast. Those needing a mammography must have a requisition for a mammogram from either their physician or nurse practitioner.
Mammograms (non-OBSP) are performed Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
